As someone who hadn’t painted since primary school, finally in my 60’, took the plunge after a reassuring phone enquiry, that others would be in the same situation if I joined the classes. I am soooo pleased I did. The art team were so friendly, encouraging and reassuring. My group of fellow artists were of all different levels which encouraged me to ‘try harder’ as I envied most paintings and occasionally was pleased with my efforts, albeit at a different level of accomplishment! There are so many different styles and variations on a theme that I realised I just needed to enjoy the journey, which I certainly do.

I have my disasters and some pieces which are reasonable, but I can see progress. The sessions are so relaxing that I loose myself for 3 hours each week. Picking up painting tips, being able to ask specific questions relevant to me and how to use different mediums is something I would never have learnt without the classes. Participants are all so friendly and I really look forward to attending every week. When Covid 19 hit and we couldn’t meet, online classes were organised so that we could continue our progress. It was never any trouble for the organiser to ensure we had supplies we needed in order to work from home.

I urge you, even if a glimmer of interest, to take the plunge and try, you will not regret joining our band of friendly participants; helpful, friendly tutors and also the refreshments are great!

Attending a Chorleywood Seasons Art Class is something not to be missed. For me, it epitomises the old adage “You’re never too old to learn”. Receiving my first term as a birthday present to mark a “special” birthday, I was, and still am, completely hooked. Excellent tutors carefully guide and
encourage, generously sharing their wealth of knowledge in a relaxed and informal manner. With a diverse range of topics and mediums covered each term, there’s always something new to learn and enjoy. With the opportunity to make new friends, and a plentiful supply of tea and biscuits on tap,
what’s not to like? A great way to treat yourself to some well-earned “me” time! They definitely won’t be getting rid of me any time soon ….

Thank you so much for today! It’s been the best morning during the lockdown so far!
We had a great time! Fantastic! Lawrence is so good at what he does. Thank you!

Kim goes above and beyond each week to encourage and ensure that I have all that I need to take part in the art classes. He pays particular attention to making the class friendly and welcoming.
He has engaged Lawrence as the art tutor and together they ensure that I feel able to complete a pleasing piece of artwork. My increased patience to complete and improve each exercise has been due to the encouragement and helpful tuition of both Kim and Lawrence.

This is our second completed term at Seasons Art Classes and we cannot thank you, Kirsty and Lawrence enough for making our Fridays so special. It is without doubt the best 3 hours of the week and the tuition is wonderful. Not only is the art side of things so enjoyable but the very sociable atmosphere makes it all the more pleasant.

The whole afternoon is made very easy with excellent materials and media all supplied ready for us to get on with producing a masterpeice!

It is perfect for those who have perhaps never painted since leaving school and also for those like me who have rekindled their love of drawing and painting and find the creative environment of a class very enjoyable and uplifting.

Once again thank you; we are both looking forward to the new term in September.
